Tides is built with your privacy as our top priority. Your journal is personal, and we believe it should stay that way.
Data Collection
We don't collect any data from you.
Tides does not:
- Collect any personal information
- Track your usage or behavior
- Use analytics or tracking services
- Display advertisements
- Share your data with third parties
- Require you to create an account
Where Your Data Lives
All journal entries, photos, and settings are stored locally on your device. Your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to use iCloud backup (see below).
iCloud Sync (Optional)
If you choose to enable iCloud backup in the app settings:
- Your journal data will be encrypted and stored in your personal iCloud account
- This data is accessible only to you and protected by Apple's security measures
- We (Live Every Week Labs) do not have access to your iCloud data
- You can disable iCloud sync at any time in the app settings
Photos
When you attach photos to journal entries:
- Photos are stored locally on your device as part of your journal
- We do not access, upload, or analyze your photos
- Photos are only included in iCloud backups if you've enabled that feature
No Third-Party Services
Tides does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. There are no cookies, no trackers, and no data shared with anyone.
Contact Information
Your email address is only used if you choose to contact us for support. We will not add you to any mailing lists or share your email with anyone.
Children's Privacy
Tides does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13. Since all data stays on your device, there is no data collection of any kind.
Changes to This Policy
If we ever change this privacy policy, we will update this page with the new policy and update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
Your Rights
Since we don't collect any data about you, there's no data for us to provide, modify, or delete. You have complete control over your journal data on your device. You can delete the app and all its data at any time from your device settings.
